The Veneto mattress pad is placed underneath the mattress, between the mattress and the bed base, creating a separate protective layer at their contact point. Dense ReFiberMix felt separates the underside of the mattress from the base, while elastic straps help keep the pad in place. It complements a mattress protector rather than replacing one.
