Beds

Which bed should you choose?

Start not with the technical specifications, but with how you want your bedroom to look.

How to choose the right size?

One of the most important parameters is the size of the sleeping area.

The VENETO collection offers different options: from compact single beds to spacious doubles. The exact sizes depend on the bed you choose.

For one person, a sleeping area 900 or 1200 mm wide is worth considering. For two — 1400, 1600, 1800 or 2000 mm, depending on the model, the size of the bedroom and the level of comfort you want.

The most universal option for a couple is 1600 × 2000 mm. If the room allows it and you want more personal space, 1800 × 2000 mm is worth considering.

Before ordering, pay attention not only to the size of the sleeping area but also to the overall dimensions of the particular model. The headboard and the frame add to the actual size of the bed, so it is important to check in advance how much space it will take up in the bedroom.

Do you need storage space?

Some VENETO models are available with a lifting mechanism and a storage box.

It is a practical solution for bed linen, blankets, pillows and other things that do not have to take up room in a wardrobe.

If you do not need the extra storage, you can choose a model without a box, or a bed on legs. Such constructions look visually lighter and suit contemporary interiors well.

Availability of the lifting mechanism depends on the particular model. The current specification is worth checking on the product page or with a VENETO manager.

Fabric changes the character of a bed

The same model can be made restrained, warm, contrasting or bold through the choice of upholstery.

VENETO beds are available in different collections of furniture fabrics, with a wide palette of shades and textures. That makes it possible to match the upholstery to the bedroom interior or, on the contrary, to make the bed its main accent.

In some models the design allows fabrics to be combined, for a more individual look.

If it is hard to decide from a photograph, it is better to choose the fabric from a physical sample. That way you can judge its real colour, its texture and the way it looks in different light.

Bed and mattress are better chosen together

The comfort of a sleeping place depends on more than the bed. It matters just as much to choose the right mattress — by size, by firmness and by the details of its construction.

So when choosing a bed it is worth settling on a mattress of the matching size at the same time.

VENETO specialises in products for sleep, so a bed and a mattress can be chosen as a single sleeping solution — with your own comfort preferences taken into account.

How to choose a bed in a few minutes?

Before ordering, answer four main questions:

• What size of sleeping area do you need?
• Do you need extra storage space?
• Which appeals to you more — an upholstered bed or natural wood?
• Which colour and texture will suit your bedroom best?

If you are hesitating between several models, VENETO staff will help you compare them by size, specification, design and upholstery options.

Questions and answers

How much room does a bed really take up?

More than the sleeping place: the headboard and the frame add to the overall dimensions, and the difference between models is noticeable. So measure the room by the full dimensions of the bed, not by the size of the mattress. They are given in the specification for every size of sleeping place.

Do all beds have a lifting mechanism?

No. On some models it is chosen when ordering, some are made without it, and certain models have drawers for storage instead. The configuration available is given on the product page of the particular bed.

Which mattress fits the bed?

One of the same size as the sleeping place of the bed: a smaller one will leave gaps, a larger one will not lie in the frame. Check the height of the mattress as well against the depth of the frame and the height of the headboard.
