What is the correct way to measure the height of a mattress?

We have prepared a number of recommendations to help you measure your favorite mattress at home or in a salon.

To correctly determine the height of the product, you need to measure the distance between the two sides. This indicator will be the height.

You can do this with a ruler, a construction level or a sheet of stiff cardboard. Place the mattress on a flat horizontal surface (floor or a sheet of chipboard). Place a light, straight object on top of the mattress.

Measure the distance between the lower and upper object (between the floor and the ruler).

Remember that the height of orthopedic mattresses is measured not between the top and bottom edges of the mattress, but between the maximum protruding surfaces of the mattress.

The State Standard for mattress manufacturing allows the height to be changed by ±15 mm from the height specified in the product passport, and for mattresses with a multilayer cover ±25 mm
