The first spring block saw the light of day in 1990, at that time this innovation was not available to everyone. Mattresses of elite ship cabins and luxury hotel rooms were equipped with spring blocks. 

Technologies do not stand still, and today Bonnell blocks are gradually replaced by other innovations, among which is the polymer system. Thus, in the middle of the mattress there are rigid springs, which are responsible for the protection of the hip joint. The knees and shoulders area is supported by medium-hard springs, and the head and feet area has soft springs. In the “Veneto Dynamic Lux” orthopedic mattress, softness and orthopedicism are achieved, among other things, by alternating springs and cellular foam filling. It is equipped with an abundance of holes of different sizes, which are arranged in a chaotic order. Under light load on the material, only the small diameter holes are activated. When the pressure increases, larger cells join them, providing higher compression resistance. 

An important advantage of the polymer system is the absence of metal elements, which gives the mattress an anti-static effect. In addition, the Orthopedic Flex polymer system will last for many years, remaining in perfect condition. 

The strength of the springs has been tested with a 200 kg load press more than 100 thousand times. The polymer springs have remained intact, retaining their elasticity.
